On March 8, 2022 at 6:30 AM, the women from parts of Guwahati dressed up in their traditional North East attire and gathered around Dighalipukhri Park to participate in the Women’s Day Walkathon conducted by Axomi 24 The Indigenous Story in support of International Women’s Day.
On February 23, 2022, four members of Axomi 24 The Indigenous Story attended the North East MSME Conclave on behalf of the community. The event was addressed by Mr. Abhijit Barooah (Chairman, CII NE Council & MD, Premier Cryogenics Ltd), Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary (Hon’ble Minister if Industries & Commerce) and other dignitaries who talked about the huge potential which needs to be tapped for bringing about inclusive development in the region.
On 13th February 2022, Axomi 24 The Indigenous Story conducted its first Exhibition cum Sale. The event was held in India Club, near Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati and was a one-day affair.
Dr. Sriparna B Baruah, Head of Industrial Extension, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, resided as the chief guest in the exhibition.
The event saw about 1500 walk-in customers and was graced with the presence of amazing Assamese personalities like Pranjal Saikia, Nandini Barkakoti, Rupam Sarma, and news channels like DY365, Prag News & NKTV.
Our exhibit booths belonged to the numerous backgrounds of bakery, resin artworks, handmade art products, exotic candles, handpicked mekhela sadors, chikankari garments, block-print fabrics, designer jeweleries, flavoursome pickles and delicious food bars.
